Thank you, Mahalo! You have redeemed yourselves completely!! Thanks to Scott from installation and to Ben and Eli who braved the wet and cold today to install the new metal ductwork and went above and beyond to fix a couple of things not on their list--all this without any cost to us as a way to make up for the troubles we had. You earned your last star!! We will definitely call you when we need you and recommend you to our friends.???? (3/19/2025)

I am editing this review, but leaving the original. I received a call from Mike at Mahalo today. He couldn't have been more gracious, kind, thoughtful and helpful. He validated my frustrations and feelings and admitted that Mahalo totally dropped the ball when it came to checking our ductwork at any time they came out. He offered me a refund for the service call in December. In this day and age, especially, sometimes all a person wants is to be heard and respected. Thank you, Mike, for hearing me and respecting me. I can't say right now if we will use Mahalo again in the future since after all of this we should be all set for a few years, but I will definitely be more likely to tell people about this phone call than I will about the previous problems. ????

Worse customer service ever! We had a heat pump installed in 2019. So when we got our first larger than expected power bill in early December 2024, we called Mahalo and asked for someone to check our system to make sure everything was okay. We expected everything associated with the system to be checked--the pump, the emergency heat furnace, the thermostat and the duct work But, no, I found out today that the duct work is someone else's department (another wad of $$$ to be laid out). Now because we trusted that the "technician" had checked EVERYTHING and pronounced the system sound, we just hoped that the cold weather would subside and the bills would go down and didn't do anything else. Then last month's power bill came--$623.55!!! We were at a loss as to what to do. So we called Pacific Power, they said to make sure Mahalo had checked the Freeon (sp?) levels. I got dear ol' Sherrie (sp?) on the line--she was polite until she realized I had concerns and then she gets defensive and her tone changes and not for the better (did that today when I called). She suggested we replace our 5 year old thermostat with one with an outdoor sensor--only going to cost $400+ more. I said we'd have to think about that. Still no one has suggested checking the duct work at this point---an integral part of the heating system. Okay, long story short, I kept digging until I found out that there's a company that contracts with Pacific Power's Energy Trust of Oregon to help people like us. He came out and discovered that the entire duct system from the heat pump into our house was shredded and full of gaping holes (we live in the country with feral cats and rodents). Now if Mahalo's guy had even done a cursory inspection and alerted us to this earlier in December, we probably would have been able to avoid this last bill because we would have been able to investigate sooner and found someone to fix it. I'm sure Mahalo would have loved to for about $2000, but you have to make sure the right "technician" gets sent to check to the tune of another $250. And before someone asks why my husband didn't inspect it, it's because he 86 years old with severe COPD and crawling under a house is just something he's not able to do anymore. I tried very hard to be polite with Mahalo in expressing my questions and concerns, but I'm done with them and will NEVER recommend them or their services to anyone EVER!
Wonderful service! Your Service Technician, TROY is an excellent representative he explained the problem, how he was going to fix it. I will definitely recommend your company and your technition Troy!
Michael was friendly and professional. He spent a lot of time checking our heating and air conditioning units to make sure they were working correctly. We were impressed with his knowledge and skills while he made sure that our job was done correctly.
Mike was very polite and very thorough. Very professional. We have always liked Mahalo. That is why we have only bought systems from your company without a second quote
Mahalo heating and air was a blessing. My fan motor went out in my heater hence the gas heater won't come on. I called and the ladies in the office sent someone within 20 minutes! Wow and they ordered a new motor right away. Installed in a 2 days. Kind and courteous techs and staff. They have my business for life.
Mahalo came out immediately when we smelled gas and our gas company said the furnace might be failing. They were kind, professional, prompt, and helped us get available rebates to keep the price down. Of all of the professionals we have had work in our home, they were the most respectful and clean by far. They left no messes, just a beautiful new furnace that has kept us toasty warm all winter. I highly recommend Mahalo!
Troy the tech guy was amazing. He explained everything and gave us the best options and solutions. Definitely highly recommend for all heating and air needs
The power went out and so did our furnace. I called Mahalo and Sherry was quick to pickup and brighten my frozen morning with her smiling can do attitude. She assured me that a technician would be able to help us. An hour later she called back and said the technician was on the way 2 hours earlier than expected.
Michael arrived and went right to work finding the problem. In just about an hour's time, warm air was blowing through the vents and ice began to melt on the windows. Michael knows his stuff!
Thanks Guys! You are our "Go To" when it too hot or too cold.
