Mahalo Heating and Air provided excellent service... from the call to schedule the system maintenance to performing the service. This is our second experience with this company and we couldn't be happier!
I recently moved into a new home, and it has a heat pump. I have no idea how well it was maintained, so I called Mahalo to schedule up a maintenance visit. Jessica answered the phone, was very cheerful and professional, and gladly took the time to list all the services they provide on the visit (a very thorough list!) and happily answered all my questions.
When it was time to schedule, I called and reached Dalton, who was also professional and cheerful, and got me scheduled up quickly, in the time window I needed.
Mahalo confirmedy appointment and on the day of the visit I received a call from Dalton to confirm the tech was on his way. Michael showed up for the appointment and got right to work. He was very friendly, personable, professional and knowledgeable. He came very prepared and was clearly experienced and able to do his job. As mentioned this was a new home to me, turns out the seller had put trim right over the access panel to the internals in the home! He knew right what to do and used a small vibrating saw to cut the trim, and it is now attached to the panel, so it worked out perfectly. Little things like this separate the pros from the amateurs in my book. He went on to test and check all the things Jessica said they would, replaced a capacitor, and is ordering a replacement motor for the heat blower (not shot yet but he noted the wobble and leaking grease, recommended replacement and I agreed). Michael cared enough to wear some "booties" over his work boots, and was amicable and friendly with my 3 Border Collies. He even took time to go over the operation for scheduling on my thermostat, the ability which had been turned off completely until today!
TL/DR: Mahalo is a fantastic company who in the course of a single visit have earned my trust and future business. Top to bottom, they were all very kind, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The service they provide is absolutely top shelf, and I can't recommend strongly enough that you give them a shot at serving your HVAC needs. I know I've found my go-to HVAC folks. David, installed my google nest thermostat. Was very knowledgeable, friendly, and was patient with me showing me how to use it with my phone. David gets a 5 star and thumbs up by me.
We had ductless heating installed. From the first contact we had sameday responses and some within 5 minutes or less . The salesperson knew exactly what we needed. We applied for the 72 m. Wells Fargo credit and had immediate credit 8500. The card came within a week but could be used without it. They are actually notified. I never needed the card on hand. It is specifically for Mahalo.
They notified our electrician and showed up within 3 days of us signing the docusign forms. They arrived on time.
The installers were friendly knowledgeable and had two units installed and running by 3pm. They are whisper quiet, heat, cool, fan,and dry settings. They have a comfort setting so it wont blow on you directly if you want. Heat and cool within minutes. Easy maintenance. Just filter rinse and yearly maintenance for the outside unit. Great warranty !!! These are Daikens / We used 8 space and wall heaters that just killed our pocketbooks. They will pay for themselves. There was also a 1000 energy trust savings applied. Unless you are rich you will qualify. ???????????????????? We are so happy andpleased.!Thanks so much.
